Jaime Tamayo
CULTURAL AND LEGAL DIRECTOR
Es Doctor en Derecho por el Instituto Mexicano Internacional, Maestro en Derecho Penal por la Universidad Harvard, y Licenciado en Derecho por la Universidad del Valle de México. Se ha especializado en epistemología y en el campo del arte a través de estudios sobre historia del arte, arte contemporáneo, arte conceptual, artes alternativas, danza, iconología, iconografía, arquitectura, crítica fotográfica, muralismo, curaduría y gestión cultural.
Ha participado en seminarios nacionales e internacionales sobre derechos humanos, filosofía contemporánea y curaduría.
Es asesor de diversas asociaciones e instituciones en materia de derechos humanos y de autor en Transformarte 2.0 A.C., ProDiana A.C., el colectivo coalición T47, así como también del año 2017 al 2018 fue asesor jurídico externo de la Dirección General del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes en temas de derecho laboral y derecho de autor.
Formo parte de los asesores que redactaron la primera Ley Ciudadana presentada en el Congreso de la Ciudad de México.
Ha sido curador en jefe de la Galería Débora Arango de la Casa de Colombia en México y curador en jefe de Espacio Temporal International Circuito México-Colombia-Argentina, y de la de la Colección residente en el Taller de Experimentación Gráfica. Donde ha curado exposiciones tanto nacionales como internacionales.
Fue fundador de la revista de arte Axis Mundi, asimismo colaboro con textos en más de 15 catálogos y publicaciones periódicas de los países Colombia, Francia y México.
Ha impartido conferencias sobre arte en México como en el extranjero (Perugia, Italia; Caracas, Venezuela; Cali, Colombia; Buenos Aires, Argentina).
Se desempeña también como Director de Arte y Planeación del Buró Internacional de Medios Esotheknus. y es Coordinador de Vinculación Internacional del Festival de Música Inter/Media.
Es Director del área de Extensión Universitaria de la Universidad Pedagógica Motolinía.
He is a Doctor of Law from the International Mexican Institute, Master in Criminal Law from Harvard University, and a Law Degree from the Universidad del Valle de México. He has specialized in epistemology and in the field of art through studies on art history, contemporary art, conceptual art, alternative arts, dance, iconology, iconography, architecture, photographic criticism, muralism, curatorship and cultural management.
He has participated in national and international seminars on human rights, contemporary philosophy and curatorship.
He is an advisor to various associations and institutions in the field of human rights and authors in Transformarte 2.0 AC, ProDiana AC, the collective coalition T47, as well as from 2017 to 2018 he was external legal advisor to the General Director of the National Institute of Fine Arts on issues of labor law and copyright.
I am part of the advisers who wrote the first Citizen Law presented in the Congress of Mexico City.
He has been chief curator of the Débora Arango Gallery of the Casa de Colombia in Mexico and chief curator of the Espacio Temporal International Circuito México-Colombia-Argentina, and of the Resident Collection in the Graphic Experimentation Workshop. Where he has curated both national and international exhibitions.
He was the founder of the art magazine Axis Mundi, he also collaborated with texts in more than 15 catalogs and periodicals in the countries of Colombia, France and Mexico.
He has given lectures on art in Mexico and abroad (Perugia, Italy; Caracas, Venezuela; Cali, Colombia; Buenos Aires, Argentina).
He also serves as Art and Planning Director of the Esotheknus International Media Bureau. and he is Coordinator of International Liaison of the Inter / Media Music Festival.
He is Director of the University Extension area of the Motolinía Pedagogical University.
